Osaka Castle: A Symbol of Japan’s History

Osaka Castle is one of Osaka’s most iconic landmarks and a place where visitors can experience the history of Japan’s unification.

Originally built in 1583 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the castle played an important role in shaping Osaka as a center of commerce and culture. After being destroyed during the Siege of Osaka, it was rebuilt by the Tokugawa government and reconstructed again in 1931 by the people of Osaka.
