Sakamoto Library

Ryuichi Sakamoto was a lifelong bibliophile who dreamed of someday opening a bookstore of his own.

His dream has now come to fruition in the form of the Sakamoto Library, a reader’s oasis secreted away in the heart of Tokyo.

Initially conceived by Sakamoto in 2017, the library opened its door in autumn 2023.

Visitors are invited to peruse the stacks populated with books from Sakamoto’s own personal collection.
