In the northernmost part of Nagano Prefecture, known as Okushinano—a region of heavy snowfall—we continue to craft "Artisanal sake" that embodies the land's spirit, with a focus on the local water and rice. Guided by the philosophy of "creating something that can only be made here," we work closely with the toji (master brewers) and kurabito (brewery workers) who live in this area.
While adhering to tradition, we constantly strive for improvement and evolution, making it our fundamental goal to produce consistently excellent sake. With the hope that the people who enjoy "Mizuo" will smile, we approach sake brewing with sincerity.
We are dedicated to the philosophy of "promoting the unique sake and sake culture of Okushinano, creating smiles and happiness for people." One way we share this philosophy is through our "Sake Brewery Experience Tour."
Our brewery is conveniently located just two hours by Shinkansen from Tokyo, and a 15-minute walk from Iiyama Station. We hope that many people will visit us throughout the seasons, providing an opportunity to develop a deeper love for Mizuo and Okushinano.
