ギャラリーotafukuは新川ジュエリーの創始者新川清次の妻、新川法子（Noriko Shinkawa）が
50年以上にわたり各地を巡り蒐集してきたお多福人形を展示しています。
彼女は4人目の子供の流産をきっかけに、夫の清次から笑顔になるために贈られたプレゼントとして、
自分によく似た体躯のお多福人形をもらいました。
これを機に、旅をする度に人々からいただいたり、その数大小合わせて700点以上の人形を集めました。
世界中の人に笑顔の連鎖が起きることを願い、日本の伝統人形を展示しています。

The Gallery Otafuku exhibits a collection of Otafuku dolls, curated over more than 50 years by Noriko Shinkawa, the wife of Seiji Shinkawa, the founder of Shinkawa Jewelry. The collection began following the miscarriage of their fourth child, when Seiji gave Noriko an Otafuku doll resembling her, as a gift to bring her a smile. This doll, having a physique similar to hers, inspired her to collect more dolls during her travels. Over the years, she has gathered more than 700 dolls of various sizes, both gifted and acquired. Through this exhibition, she hopes to create a chain of smiles across the world, showcasing these traditional Japanese dolls." this gallery has almost 300 dolls to exhibit.
